THE PUBLIC PARK AND LINEAR URBAN PARK

Carlton is famous for its squares and piazzas. Australand is proud to announce an offering unique for a modern urban development: a new public park. Inspired by the historic landscape types found in Carlton, the park harmonises two components, the square and the street. The square is at the centre of the precinct and features two sloping expanses of lawn beneath a canopy of large shade trees.

The second component reinstates the long-demolished Station Street as a linear urban park connecting Palmerston and Elgin Streets. Celebrating one of the other great Carlton features – the wide central street median – it provides a tree-lined area right outside your front door that is perfect for picnics, reading the paper, kicking a ball or simply hanging out with friends.
